N9526J – Damaged by Another Plane

N9526J - Damage - 032009 - 23.JPGI’m too sick to explain too much but N9526J may have been damaged beyond repair today when another aircraft hit her when trying to land at 33N. The pilot was flying N41568 which is a plane Jeff used to rent as well. The pilot amazingly was not injured. A Cessna Skymaster was also damaged that was parked next to N9526J. It is a sad day!

Sorry to hear about this… You haven’t had a lot of luck storing it at that airport… :( Glad everyone was ok, but I think you are probably right on the last days comment… Can’t see that being repaired… Gonna be $$$$$ Sorry buddy!!

Hi Barry, nice to meet you. I actually got to see N9526J yesterday! I flew into KONX on my way home from Kill Devil Hills to get fuel. I called David Messina and asked the guy working the FBO to let me into the hanger. You guys are doing an excellent job. I must say that I’m glad N9526J is getting repaired rather than parted out. Please do send the pictures!
