Shared note

This may be the same Jacob Ziegler that was married to Caroline Johns. I'm not sure because the spelling of the last names where different and I don't know how reliable a source I had. (JDF, 6/10/2004). Jacob was enrolled as a Private in Company H, 126th Regiment, PA Vol, at Chambersburg, PA, the 9th day of August, 1862. He was honorably discharged at Harrisburg, PA May 20th 1863. After the Civil War he went back to Huntingdon Co. and married Caroline C. Johns - sister to Reuben. It appears that Jacob was also married - at least for three years before Caroline died - to Elizabeth Beers Love - widow of Freeburn Love and sister to Hannah Beers (wife of David Hays Johns. Caroline did not die until 1878 and Jacob married Elizabeth in 1875. He must have maintained two homes without either women having knowledge of the other (maybe).Jacob was enrolled as a Private in Company H, 126th Regiment, PA Vol, at Chambersburg, PA, the 9th day of August, 1862.
