He is not mentioned in Virginia records after 1749 and may have died as early as 1749 and as late as 1755. The Strickler orphans and not widow Strickler were taxed on land i n Frederick Co. in 1759 which would probably indicate that both the father a nd mother were dead by 1759. Thus this may be the reason why his 55 acres which his father had intended for him was conveyed to his brother Joseph in 1755 and also which may indicate that Abraham and his wife were dead by 1755. Abraham's 208 acres which he had surveyed in 1749 in Frederick Co. were granted by Fa irfax to his brother Jacob in 1756, another indication that he was dead by then . He may have had only one or two children.
