[Strickler.GED] Isaac moved to Arkansas in 1900, locating near Hunter. He owned 250acres of la nd. During the Civil War he fought as a member of Company D.150th Illinois Vol unteer Infantry. Later in life he moved back toSheldon, Illinois where he died . His sons operated large saw mills andwagon factories and were involved in fu rniture production andundertaking. Of his children, only Cora spent her whole life inSheldon. Most moved to Arkansas. Lester Weeks, grandson of Minnie,desc ribed her as a large woman with a lot of long hair which she braidedand twined about her head. On Sundays she would visit peoples homes andwhy there children would gather around her and she would tell Biblestories. |
